Anritsu's DualX Technology has enhanced poultry filet inspection in the DualX KD7416DRWZ model. This x-ray technology is unique because it analyzes two different x-ray energy signals at the same time, allowing it to distinguish between product and contaminant. Even overlapping products can be inspected without false rejecting. It also enables a higher detection rate of low density items compared to conventional x-ray technology.
The DualX system is optimal for use in the poultry industry, and is well-suited for detecting rubber, stone and bone. Upon reject, the raw material is removed from the production line, and is returned to one of the processors for cleaning. Once the filet is clean it will continue down the conveyor for further processing or packaging.
With industry input from customers and key equipment distributors to the poultry market, Anritsu developed the DualX solution with three main goals:
- Detection of 2.0mm or smaller poultry bones; pulley, fan and scapula as the targets.
- Virtual elimination of false rejects.
- Ease of use by the owner of the equipment for product setup, system maintenance and overall system operation.
There are numerous benefits to using the DualX x-ray inspection system. Higher resolution imaging (0.4mm HD resolution) improves detection capabilities and virtually eliminates false rejects. Low x-ray power (350 watt system) also provides better imaging capabilities. Running at lower power levels allows for the DualX Technology to improve upon contaminant detection, and component longevity is extended. Thus the operational power is lower, minimizing the overall cost of ownership.
The Dual X High Definition x-ray system can detect contaminants as small as 0.4
mm. It goes beyond metal detection, and you can be assured that your HACCP program
is at the leading edge by eliminating dangerous foreign materials not previously
detectable by traditional x-ray systems. With advanced bone detection and poultry
bone detection solutions, your food will always stay free of bone contaminants.
Dual X analyzes material differences between organic and inorganic items to effectively
detect low density contaminants such as stone, glass, rubber, metal and even poultry
bones. The Advanced Dual X Technology provides the following benefits:
- Low density contaminant detection is improved
- Enhanced metal detection
- Significantly improved detection of glass, stone, rubber and bone
- Deciphers between organic and inorganic materials
- High definition (HD 0.4 mm) resolution
- Variable speed
- Complete auto-learn
- Variable x-ray power by recipe
- 30 second, no-tool, conveyor maintenance
World Class Reliability
Anritsu x-ray inspection systems have evolved over the years, and have been installed
globally in the food and pharmaceutical industries. This history of reliability
is built into every design, backed by our preventative maintenance crew.
The Anritsu x-ray system includes virtually every algorithm you may need to inspect
your product. In addition, features such as variable speed conveyors, variable power
x-ray source, color LCD touch panel, Ethernet connection and many other features
provides the user with a long- term, flexible solution for any new applications
that may require x-ray inspection.
Ease of Use Increases Efficiencies
Anritsu installations are successful because they are designed to be easy-to-use
and easy-to-understand. Rather than requiring a full knowledge of the technology,
graphs and color coded algorithm feedback provides operators with the information
required to create new products and adjust existing settings with ease, eliminating
the need for factory support.
Ease of Maintenance
Reliability in the design minimizes the need for maintenance but when required,
a full suite of system diagnostics, plug and play boards and easy release conveyor
design offers quick maintenance and minimizes any downtime.
Best in Class Accuracy
- Flexibility - NOT ale carte pricing
- Reliability resulting in minimal to zero downtime
- Efficiency in parts, support and documentation
